Deputy Editor of Narodnoye Slovo newspaper fired
On the eve of the World Press Freedom Day, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Narodnoye Slovo, Russian-language national daily of Uzbekistan, was fired. The reason for dismissal of Ozod Saidov was an article in the newspaper throwing doubt at the head of the state’s caring about the historical and cultural values, in particular, medieval architectural monuments.
